We created a style guide in an effort to unify KFC's visual elements and tone of voice throughout multiple partners and franchisees. The brand wanted to be guided through a lens of "modern Americana" embracing the heritage and history of the brand's elements. To solidify what modern Americana meant we designed a book, full of fun custom lettering that just like their secret recipe, was hand-crafted to perfection by me and the talented studio OlhoBala.
Morning Breath, a favorite of mine since I got my first copy of Era Vulgaris also came up with some fun stickers that were supposed to be manually spread through the book.
Unfortunately, the project was scrapped but I'm still happy with the outcome. While I can't share the whole book, here are a few of my favorite pages.
